The Ultimate Birthing Experience (Lamaze) at Valley Hospital are offered in a 5-week series on 5 consecutive Tuesdays from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. The price is $200. About Lamaze Childbirth Education
Lamaze childbirth education promotes a natural, healthy and safe approach to pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting. Lamaze education and practices are based on the best, most current medical evidence available. They can help reduce the use of unnecessary interventions and improve overall outcomes for mothers and babies. This workshop will help prepare you for labor, childbirth and early motherhood by learning how to trust your body, the energy of the birth process and your instincts as a mother. This class covers anatomy and physiology of pregnancy and childbirth, stages of labor, pain coping techniques and comfort measures, pros and risks of interventions, Postpartem period.
